Off on another adventure in The Great Lakes area today. The kids have helped packed the car with boards, bucks and spades, footballs, frisbee and of course some shade.
We are heading 10 minutes south of Boomerang Beach to a tucked away beach called “Cellito Beach”, in the Pacific Palms Area.
When heading south from Boomerang Beach you will need to turn left onto a dirty road, marked by a big old wooden sign that says “Sandbar and Bushlands Parks”.
Follow the signs to the golf course and keep heading 500 meters up the road.
Once arriving at the car park to the beach you will start your entrance to the beach with a beautiful Littoral Rain-forest board walk. Kids loved looking at all the different types of plants on the way.
What a view when you reach the beach entrance. The crystal clear aqua waters of the ocean. Who can reach the water’s edge first? As the kids run off.
As the tide went down we found that the north end of the beach has a rocky area that the kids loved exploring the small rock pools. They loved climbing over the rocks and looking for starfish, crabs and different types of Sea Enemas. The kids tried to count how many starfish they could find, they couldn’t believe that they had found over 100………most would fit in the palm of your hand.
As the afternoon rolls in we are nearly left alone on the beach by ourselves…… great chance play on the sand with the kids…… kick the footy and throw the frisbee around.
Parents are tried, kids are tried, what a great spot and filled with holiday activities for all kids.
